Trinity community debates placing professor on leave, Hartford Courant

In an article published June 28, 2017, Washington, DC partner Raymond D. Cotton comments on the discussion over Trinity College Professor Johnny Eric Williams's racially charged Facebook posts and the college's decision to put him on leave. “I think President Berger-Sweeney did exactly the right thing,” Mr. Cotton said. “Professor Williams has to understand he really can’t be on the campus…for the protection of the community.” Mr. Cotton said it’s also a time to bring the faculty together and explain that given the current political climate, “You can’t say everything you want to…you could be putting students at risk.” Click here to read the full article.
