Shawn Willis Joins Nelson Mullins in Charleston
CHARLESTON (May 3, 2016)–Shawn R. Willis has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s corporate group as a partner in its Charleston office. Mr. Willis focuses his practice in the areas of corporate law, tax, banking and commercial lending, commercial real estate, sustainable energy, and community associations.
Mr. Willis serves on the board of directors for the S.C. Chapter of the Community Associations Institute and the Florence Crittenton Programs of South Carolina. Active in the S.C. Bar, he is a member of its Community Association Law Committee; Tax Section; Probate, Estate Planning, and Trust Section; Corporate, Banking, and Securities Law Section; and Real Estate Section. He is currently a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and the Charleston Tax Council. He joins the firm from another Charleston law firm.
Mr. Willis earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Furman University and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He also earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.
