Nelson Mullins' Joe Eason Earns Tenth
Judicial Spotlight on Professionalism Award

RALEIGH (Feb. 22, 2016)–The Professionalism Committee of the Wake County Bar Association has selected Joseph W. Eason, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Raleigh office, for a Tenth Judicial Circuit Spotlight on Professionalism Award.

Mr. Eason received the spotlight for 18 years of service on the Tenth District Fee Dispute Resolution Committee and its predecessor from January 1995 through December 2013. That included working as a mediator in mandatory dispute procedures and as an arbitrator in voluntary submissions, as well as serving 10 years as the chair from January 2003 through December 2012. The committee has consistently achieved a high rate of success in helping clients and Wake County lawyers use informal and formal mediation procedures to resolve disputes over fees.

The Professionalism Committee of the Wake County Bar Association created the awards as a way to recognize and encourage high standards of professionalism among members of the Tenth Judicial District, according to the organization. The committee recognizes attorneys whose actions or efforts exemplify and promote qualities of professionalism.
