N.C. Bar Association Selects Nelson Mullins'
Tom Kelly for Leadership Academy
RALEIGH (Feb. 23, 2016)–Thomas E. Kelly, an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Raleigh office, will join 16 other attorneys as part of the N.C. Bar Association Leadership Academy Class of 2016.
The Leadership Academy seeks to help young lawyers become more effective leaders in their communities. Participants are selected based on their leadership potential, according to the organization.
Mr. Kelly focuses his practice in the area of health care regulatory and compliance litigation. He has experience litigating matters in administrative, state, and federal court and has defended Medicaid managed care organizations in a variety of forums, including state and administrative proceedings. He also advises and represents clients on certificate of need laws, licensure, and medical staff bylaws issues. He is a former assistant attorney general with the N.C. Department of Justice where he represented the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.
